More classic games via 16-bit like era means its more fun to play and better overall than new crap?

Statistically yes :

http://top100.ign.com/2005/001-010.html

Image

I noticed the 512 still use the exact 16 formula still...shooters, action, fighting, racing, etc...

Via the infamous kru and ki debate lol...Biggest joke console ever APPLE PIPPEN.

Just wanted to use that via apple vs windows kru and ki future debate lol...

Why no 64-bit listing? Cuz only 1 console was 64-bit realistically. N64, And it only had 5 games stand the test of time mario64, zelda o, goldeneye, super smash bros and perfect dark.

To put that in perspective, the fake 64-bit system, Jaguar/CD had 5 to stand the test of time Alien vs. Predator, Atari Karts, Iron Soldier 2, Tempest 2000 and Battlemorph.

KI you asshole why not list early 8-bit or 64-bit or...

I explained the 64-bit, thats more in "old school" category just like in 10 years ps2 will be put in same category.

The "8-bit" or 70/80s pioneer games are just that, the genesis. So even though they still fun, i think everyone agrees the generations after 1985 surpass before it.

1st console is debatable, but most agree 1972, Magnavox Odyssey

Image
Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnavox_Odyssey

1st commercial "video game" hit/classic is debatable but most agree 1972, Pong

Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_video_game

1st motion control only (no handheld) device 1977, The Pantomation

Image

http://www.cracked.com/article_19193_6- ... nk_p2.html

1st handheld console 1979, Microvision

Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microvision

1st character mega hit 1980, Pac-Man

Image

1st commercial motion controller 1981, Le Stick

Image

http://classicgames.about.com/od/consol ... rofile.htm

1st online game ever, debatable :

"SuperSet Software created Snipes, a text-mode networked computer game in 1983 to test a new IBM Personal Computer based computer network and demonstrate its capabilities. Snipes is officially credited as being the original inspiration for Novell NetWare. It is believed to be the first network game ever written for a commercial personal computer and is recognized alongside 1974’s Maze War (a networked multiplayer maze game for several research machines) and Spasim (a 3D multiplayer space simulation for time shared mainframes) as the precursor to multiplayer games such as 1987's MIDI Maze, and Doom in 1993."

1st downloadable games service 1981, PlayCable

Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayCable

1st touch screen console 1982, The Vectrex

Image
Image

1st 3-D polygon game 1983, I Robot (Edit : lol nwo game/cover image for EWS to put in new mix)

Image

1st "Hologram" game 1991, Time Traveler

Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Traveler_(video_game)

1st commercial "Broadcast/Bandwidth Network" via router 1994, Sega Channel

Image

1st console online game 1999, ChuChu Rocket!

Image

And so on, all genres and ideas of games you play now spawned from 70s, 80s, 90s. Everything you think is innovative is fucking ancient. And the 80's/90's are the golden ages of games.

Ok for more info heres a VERY DEBATABLE video of best consoles hosted by my ex-girl, 25 to 20 edited out of vid :

Damn this is a lot of stuff. My first console was a SNES, which is 16 bit. Fucking classic console.

Donkey Kong country.

Before that I was a PC gamer. :D

First game was :

http://www.gamespot.com/jumpmanjunior/platform/c64

First console i owned was the Atari7800. I played Pole Position 2 every day.

Second was the NES. Contra was a way of life for a snot nosed kid.

Third was also my fav, Sega Genesis.

I basically had them all though. Bought a SuperNes during the sf2 pandemonium just to play it in my house. After sf2 came on genesis, i pawned the snes for $$$ cuz i was on sega side of genesis and snes war. Both were like the greatest systems ever as explained by my ex girl lol. Donkey Kong Country vs Vectorman, that was the end of 16-bit gaming right there.

I sold all my consoles and games except Dreamcast Black Edition and Saturn. Rest of classics are emulatorable to me lol...but i might buy my genesis/segacd1/32x etc tower of power back :

Still got your snes xprenn? If not, peep this :

I own a NES and SNES. The European SNES looks different from the US version though.

Graphic quality has gone up, but overall attention to detail and playability has gone down. Many designing companies do the bare minimum to get sales, like the last MVC game. Games take forever to come out because they take a long time programming all the graphics and cut scenes, but unfortunately they don't put that same time and effort into the game beyond that.
